ABOUT ME
For the past 10 years, I’ve worked in higher education as a Senior Lecturer, Senior Teaching Fellow, and Course Leader in Publishing. I’m also a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a member of the Career Development Institute (CDI).
Throughout my career, I’ve supported hundreds of students and professionals to clarify their goals, build confidence, and move forwards with their aspirations. At the heart of everything I do is helping people build self-belief and recognise that they deserve a seat at the table, regardless of their background, circumstances, or the stories they carry.
Having worked across two predominantly female industries, I became increasingly frustrated by the systemic gender barriers that continue to limit women’s career progression. That frustration deepened as I got older, and particularly after the birth of my second son. It was at this point that I decided to formally train and qualify as a coach, deepening my understanding of career development theories, frameworks, and models so I could better support women to make internal shifts and take meaningful action; coaching to help close the gender gap.
Since 2023, I’ve coached hundreds of professional women to progress in their careers and navigate complex workplace challenges. My coaching experience includes supporting women with:
• Career progression and transitions
• Neurodiversity in the workplace
• Identity shifts and confidence building
• Imposter syndrome
• Redundancy and career change
• Workplace bullying
• Returning to work after maternity leave
• Burnout and recovery
I’ve also participated in Women’s Leadership programmes with Aurora and Advance HE and sit on the Advisory Board for Mothers Springboard, a London based charity that supports single mothers with coaching and career education to create sustainable career pathways. This work continues to shape my research into career sustainability for women.
